These days my life seems to be zooming past me so fast and it has started to get a bit overwhelming. However I'm not a pussy so I'm not going to back down or give up! What I have decided to do is to start walking! I read an article once on walking and it's benefits ages ago. Taking regular walks early in the morning or late at night is actually a form of active meditation. So if you think sitting still with your legs crossed is a little awkward but you still want to practice some type of free therapy then try walking. I prefer to walk really slow and without music or any other distractions. This allows me to feel at ease as I begin to asses and organise all of the junk that's in my mind. If you're a thinker like me you'll know what I mean when I say sometimes I feel like my mind is an internet browser with 5000 tabs open and running all at the same time. So waking up at 6am and going for a walk in silence gives me time to go through all my "tabs" and close all the unnecessary ones.
Through my walking therapy I have come to realise that I am not satisfied with a lot of things in my life right now and this needs to end, Also one of my best pals gave me an amazing book called " infinite self, 33 steps to reclaiming your inner power". This book is amazing for anyone who is going through a transitional, confusing or boring phase in their lives. I won't tell you too much about the book as the title is very self explanatory.
Due to personal experiences I am a firm believer in fate but one thing I have learned the hard way is the power of perspective! Yes you can not always control what life throws at you but you can control how you catch it. You can whip out a bat and wack it back, you can stretch out your arms a catch it or you can curl up into a ball and try to not get hit. Either way life will continue to chuck situations at you one after the other. Most of the time we experience negative situations it isn't the situations fault it's actually our perspectives. Negative situations are only just contradictions to the ego's expectations so let go of your ego and change your perspective into a positive one and you'll begin to notice all of the positive things in every so called "negative" situation.
